📚 I’ve been in SUCH a reading slump lately which seems to be the case for a lot of people at the moment! I’m working my way through a proof currently which is helping, but I really want to get to the cosy autumn reads before December hits 😅

🍂 Fully embracing the season and doing all the autumn things 🥰 Anyone else LOVE a garden centre at this time of year?

I’m a massive fan of psychological thrillers and with being obsessed with Frieda McFadden at the moment, I knew @klslaterauthor books would be just up my street too! I’m about 16 chapters in and I’m loving it so far! I have so many questions already and I just keep coming back for more 🤗

FIVE STAR REVIEW ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Housemaid

Wow where do I start? This book took me on a ROLLERCOASTER of emotions let me tell you 🤣 But it had me from the start and I couldn’t put it down, which is the best kind of book.

From chapter one, the characters were so vivid in my mind. The FURY I felt towards Nina for the majority of this book was REAL and that is exactly what a character should do 👏 I loved how much I hated her 🤣

The twists and turns in every single chapter had me hooked for the entirety. There wasn’t a chapter that didn’t have me questioning what was going to happen next, or urge me to read just one more chapter when I should have been sleeping.

And the twist at the end 👏 LOVED! Did not see that coming.

Overall this book was fast paced, easy to read and such a page turner. And not to mention the super short chapters are perfect! Can we have more books with short chapters please?

10/10 would recommend and can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

I’ve just started decorating my new office and I’m sooo happy to finally have a proper place to work!

So far I’ve only emptied the room and painted a base coat because I still haven’t decided what I’m doing with it yet, but the desk and chair are in which is the main thing 🫶🏻

I THINK I have chosen a paint colour which is Wisp of Cocoa by @valsparpaint 👉 Swipe to the last pic to see the colour!It’s sooo similar to Lick Pink 02 which I also love, but it’s just a bit lighter which I think will work better in my tinyyy space! It’s also a hell of a lot cheaper 🤣

Yet ANOTHER five star read ❤️ A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well this DEFINITELY lived up to the hype 😱👏 The ultimate mix of mystery, thrill and suspense, compiled in a book I could not put down.

As a relatively new reader, I am usually quite slow to finish books, but this one was the exception. This is the fastest I have ever finished a book, and if that doesn’t tell you how good it is, I don’t know what will.

The mystery kicks off straight away. No waiting around for something to happen, no clawing for information, you’re in the thick of the story from the offset and it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Every chapter gives you an extra nugget of information, something new to sink your teeth into. It has you wondering the whole way through, in such a good way! I felt like I was the one solving the murder. I felt like I was in Pip’s shoes, discovering the secrets of Little Kilton and building relationships with the characters.

I LOVE Ravi 🥺 His loyalty is beautiful and his kind heart just leaps off the page. The way he stands by Pip is the sweetest and their relationship is built off such a heartbreaking yet beautiful story.

Pip, yes a little bit annoying at times. THE SECRETS OMG! I felt like screaming ‘YOU DON’T NEED TO GO THROUGH THIS ALONE!!’ 🤣 But despite this, I actually loved her character and her dedication to the case. It’s so inspiring!

And finally, the Dad of the Year Award goes to… Victor 🫶🏻 the most wholesome, supportive and hilarious dad to Pip, giving the book a familiar warmth that feels like a hug 🥰 SUCH a gorgeous character!

If you want a book with suspense round every corner, short chapters that are so easy to read and a story you won’t be able to put down, this is the book for you!

Five stars all round ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Every chapter gives you an extra nugget of information, something new to sink your teeth into. It has you wondering the whole way through, in such a good way! I felt like I was the one solving the murder. I felt like I was in Pip’s shoes, discovering the secrets of Little Kilton and building relationships with the characters.

I LOVE Ravi 🥺 His loyalty is beautiful and his kind heart just leaps off the page. The way he stands by Pip is the sweetest and their relationship is built off such a heartbreaking yet beautiful story.

Pip, yes a little bit annoying at times. THE SECRETS OMG! I felt like screaming ‘YOU DON’T NEED TO GO THROUGH THIS ALONE!!’ 🤣 But despite this, I actually loved her character and her dedication to the case. It’s so inspiring!

And finally, the Dad of the Year Award goes to… Victor 🫶🏻 the most wholesome, supportive and hilarious dad to Pip, giving the book a familiar warmth that feels like a hug 🥰 SUCH a gorgeous character!

If you want a book with suspense round every corner, short chapters that are so easy to read and a story you won’t be able to put down, this is the book for you!
